The adventure begins with trouble: the thirteen -year -old Oliver nearly drowns, breaking into the river on a self -fed racing car. Literally at the last moment, his mother saves him, but her weak heart cannot withstand stress, and Oliver remains an orphan.
Oliver sits alone in his room, embracing with a non-casual plush toy, which his mother once gave him. And here it happens strange – the tears of the boy turn the toy into a real fairy! Rather, in the fairy – get acquainted with Drippy, the Great Fei Lord. He says that his native world is threatened by evil in the face of the dark genie Shadar, who turned Drippi into a toy and now leads fear on a whole planet.

And he is also vulnerable to water, but resistant to the air element.

He cannot fight for a long time (a scale of endurance interferes), but it is worth facing a detachment of water monkeys, and he will die in an instant. He will die – and Oliver with him, because a strip of health is one for all.

Therefore, we take up to three familiarians into battle and toss them in the situation: one has endurance – we release the other. We need to heal – call the third, which has the right skill, or switch to Oliver. He also has a healing spell and a complete backpack of healing burgers.
The battles take place in real time: you need to have time to replace familiarities, activate skills, put a block, conduct counterattacks and dodge. This is not a slasher – all actions (except for moving) are carried out through a special menu. It is easy to master it, but the battles are still quite complicated to carry. It confuses one thing: over time, fights (especially with bosses) become easier. Simply because not all functions are initially open.
► The first bosses are given with great difficulty, because the “defend themselves to everyone!»Appears later. Why is it done – it is unclear. Without it, the allies stupidly rod forward and die.
Jelly shores
Ni No Kuni is served gradually: literally every element of mechanics is revealed strictly at the allotted moment, and any innovation is accompanied by excessive clarification. You think so LEVEL-5 takes care of the youngest spectators? It is unlikely. Practice has shown: the youngest and at the lowest level of complexity will require adult help.
Note: Key chip NI no kuni – capture of familiarity – becomes available only an hour on the fifth. The most impatient wizards usually manage to call the game empty and shallow and abandon it for good hour earlier. Do not repeat their mistakes.
► JRPG – these are not only battles, quests and drama, but, often, puzzles. There are quite a lot of them in Ni No Kuni, and they are very stupid.
But an intense take -off to survive is easy. Ni No Kuni tirelessly throws new mechanics and conducts excursions according to the strange attractions of the "Second Country". From a flowering fairy -tale town (there is a cholen cholegun cat) in an oasis with milk fountains, from there – from there – on foot to a local cake, where they are not allowed by law without swimming trunks. There we take the ship to the steampunk metropolis, where all the houses are on the rails, but along the way we get stuck in the stomach of the same lady the size of the island ..
And Grind does not overshadow the situation at all. The need for targeted pumping is very rare: when you need to raise a new familiar to the current level, for example. And to maintain the wizard in the tone, it is enough to perform some side tasks – they are ordinary, but often ending in.
► World Map – traditional for jrpg. Fortunately, no random skirmishes: monsters are clearly visible, and it is often possible to run away from them. ► Well, in the second half of the game, Oliver will give such a mortal, and then certainly no one will catch it.

In the end, in grind you often hit not out of need, but because you want. I would like to catch new familiarians! After all, there are dozens of them, and all just charm – in Ghibli they always knew how to draw wonderful evil spirits.
In Ni No Kuni you can get stuck for any reason. Spend the century to look at the illustrations in the magic book of Oliver (a wizard's companion printed on paper is a good reason to buy a collector), then sort out the combinations of objects in an alchemical boiler for a long time (suddenly something will turn out to be something?), and the next couple of hours to track down the unfortunate cat-fluster cat in order to make him his familiar.
With pleasure spending half a day in Ni No Kuni Cocoa Casino and find that the plot has not moved by a degree during this time – this is completely normal. But it is better to overcome the procrastination and go further. After all, there are so many interesting things ahead!

Oh, these fairy tales
The naive plot manages to carry out through and through (not least thanks to the heroes), but sags in the last few hours. It was as if after the end of the serial season they launched a pack of fillers and pretended to be “now the end”. In the original Ni No Kuni for Nintendo DS there was no this storyline at all – so why it is on PS3? For the sake of a pretty villainous, probably.

Like other creations Ghibli, Ni No Kuni is rich in small details. These details are full of both in nature, in architecture, and in characters … But most of all of them, perhaps, in a single Drippi. Faithful fairies never stops grimacing.
